Dear Readers,

I am in US for 3mnoths on L1b visa, I am not recieving US salary but only per diem basis.

Below are my ?s.

  1. I heard that L1b Visa holder is not required to pay taxes for 180days in USA. are there any conditions for this?

  2. Do I have to pay any taxes in USA for 3 months.

  3. If i am going to convert my L1B to H1B status, any paystubs required to present for these 3months.?

  4. can i take leave in US while i am on L1B. What is the max allowed leave period.?

No, AFAIK there is no such policy. you need to pay taxes. You will get greater refund as you would not be considered resident below 180 days

Any amount as long as it is paid. You need to be on a payroll
