I’m on L1b and about to complete my 5 years of L1 in June 2016. I have an approved form I140 from USCIS. My empolyer has applied for H1B this year but for my L1 to H1B transfer in regular processing. We have not heard back from USCIS. Does that mean USCIS is longer time or does it mean it is not selected in lottery. Is applying for H1b in 2016 my next option. Kindly let me know.
Its very likely that you did not make the quota. Unfortunately that means H1 2016 is the only option. Or you could try to move to L1A which gives you 2 more years I think.
