L1 to H1b visa transfer from comp 1 to comp 2 before oct 1st?

Hi Saurabh,

Presently I’m working on L1b and I got H1b approval from different employer (company 1).  I need to start job from OCT 1st to that employer. If I get a job in another company(company 2), who has transferred my H1b visa, can I start job from that company (company 2) immediately or do I need to wait till  Oct 1st?  Thanks for your help.

No. you cannot work immediately since your previous status is L1. Your new H1 is effective from October only…
