I have an L1B Visa until April 2024. I plan to extend it from India through a blanket extension at the Chennai consulate. Some colleagues have done this and got approval. If Chennai denies my extension, does it cancel my current L1 Visa, which is still valid for a few more months? My idea is to return to the USA with my existing visa and apply again from here. Does anyone know if I can still travel to the USA on my existing L1 Visa if the extension is rejected?
No, the denial of a new application do not impact your old/current approval .
Yes you can and still use the remaining time on existing approval as far as you have a valid visa to enter the US.
