L to H1 Change of status

Hi All,

I am currently on an L1 visa in the US. My L1 to H1B (selected this year) conversion is in progress. My dependent L2 with visa validity till mid 2023, has to travel to India mid of July and return mid of August. I wanted to check if there is any risk for her entry back to the US while the conversion is in progress.
Per my understanding, conversions are usually effective from October but I still wanted to avoid any risk.
Planning to initiate H4 in September after her return.

This should be okay as far as she returns back on L2 while you are still on L1. Make sure she has a valid L2 visa to enter back.
