Hi Saurabh - My H1-b petition is approved. But i just saw my Job description that was used by the employer and that is not very similar with my resume at all. I don’t know why this was done but i do want to get some advice from you about the best way to handle this situation. Does the consular official have a copy of my resume as well when making the decision? How do i handle this…please let me know.
You will have to carry your resume at the time of interview and may be asked for it. I don’t think they will match it there and then, but he can ask what your job would be in US and it should be in line w/ what’s covered in the job description.
Also, talk to your employer about the difference. They may have a valid reason (or not).
