Is it too late to interview for a job which will sponsor H1b

I am going to give interviews starting march 19th . I can try and speed up the process and finish the evaluation before april start.

Is it worth trying or should I wait for the next year ?

More details about company :-

  1. Its a small startup of ~15 folks in SFO, California.

  2. Their ceo himself is from israel and on H1B visa

You should still give it a try. April 1 is the first date to file, but I expect cap to remain open for at least couple of weeks (just a guess though). So your company can still speed up the process and make through the cap.

You can talk to the employer about the urgency and see if they can start the LCA processing in parallel.
