Is it practical to start the GC process during 6th year

Hello

I am completing my 5th year in L1 this July and trying to file my H1B in April.If at all it gets approved and start with my new employer in October,will it be practical to get my i-40 done and I-485 filed within the last one year remaining.Please advise.

You may not have enough time to get everything done in the last 1 year. Also, I-485 can be filed only if the dates are current for your visa category and your country of birth.
