Is it possible to transfer H1 while we are yet to respond to an RFE

Hi,

My visa is till feb 16 2015 and applied for my extension and recieved an rfe. Can i now trnasfer my h1 to a different company as still have till april 6 to repond to the rfe.

Any advise is appreciated

It depends up on the kind of RFE. If the RFE is talking about the EMPLOYER, you can have another employer initiate H1B transfer now. But if the RFE is talking about the EMPLOYEE, you may end up in the SAME RFE potentially.
