Rigth now am on L2 i tried to get H1b this year but can’t get it becoz cap closed veert early now i came to know that change of status is possible (ie L2 to H1) it is not depend on H1b cap i just want know is this information correct
You can change your status from L2 to H1 only when you have an approved H1B petition (COS can be applied along with the petition too). Since you do not have an approved H1B, you cannot change your status to H1B.
