Is a H1B petition filed by a consultancy a problem

Hi,

I am an Indian, working for a India based IT firm on H1-B.

Will there be any problem if I file a H1-B petition through a Job consulting firm (Talent management solutions)?

Well, it depends on your background, what role your prospective employer is filing for, how he is filing it and if the employer’s record is good. In the past, USCIS passed rules that ensures that IT consulting companies or body shops do not abuse the system.

If your prospective employer is good and files it for right role with right process, you should be fine.
