Inperson interview selection

Hi,

I have to schedule H1B visa stamping in India. My Visa expired more than 48 months ago but my spouse visa expired within 48 month and eligible for drop box.

In this case, can we both choose to go In-person interview or do H1B stamping first and go for H4 stamping through dropbox( this adds delay)?
