I have resigned and have notified my current employer about my last working day. My current employer has notified USCIS about the same. Now the H1b Transfer process with the future employer has not been filed yet, and the background verification is expected to get completed in 12 business days.
I would like to know whether I could stay in US during this period, and if this gap would impact my visa transfer. The H1B transfer would be filed under premium processing.
