If H1 visa is rejected(worst case) can I use L1?

Hi,

I have L1 visa stamped till April 2013. My H1b pettion is also approved. My question is

If i am going back to India for H1b stamping and if H1b visa get rejected (worst case), Can i travel back on L1 visa or L1 visa will also be cancelled?

I think, L1 will not be cancelled and you can travel back to US on L1 VISA.

Usually they do not cancel L-1 i case of rejection H-1 visa stamping. In that case you can return on L-1 visa. However, if L-1 visa gets canceled, then you cannot return on L-1 visa.
