I already had a H1..Do i need go through the lottery process again

Hi ,

I filed my h1 in 2006 got approved and stamped till 2008.I was in US and extended my h1 for another 3 years that is till 2011 even that ws stamped and approved.

But i came to Indian and working here and its been 5 years now.

My H1 expired in 2011 .So if i apply for H1 again will i go through the lottery system again.???

Please respond as iam planning for a H1 this year.

Yes, you may have to go through the lottery system as it’s more than 6 years when your petition was approved. You may consult with an attorney though.
