my h1b transferred to a new employer. What steps do I take to transfer I-140 to my new employer ? my I-140 approval happened more than 6 months ago.
I-140 petition is employer specific so you can’t transfer. Your new employer will need to restart your PERM and once approved, file I-140. Your new employer can port your priority date from the original I-140 so that you keep your position in the GC queue.
