How to know the status of H1-B Visa?

Hi,

Company has applied H1-B for me this year… i was told that my petition has been selected in the lottery and the company is waiting for further details.

I was not given the petition number…when would i get the petition details from USCIS to the mail ID that i filled in the form?

Is there any way i can get to know the status of my H1?

Pls help me with this ! thanks in Advance …

without the receipt number you can not really check your status. Usually the attorney handling your case would get the email notifications from USCIS.
