Hi,

How to change employer on first OPT during unpaid Internship. What forms do I need to fill and what documents should I collect from the previous employer to validate the duration of my unpaid internship with the previous employer? I only have joining letter. What should I do?

Your university should help you in these matter. Contact your University’s international office, they will guide you step by step.

There are no forms to fill for USCIS when you change employer during OPT. You will have to let your University’s International office know of the change, who then will update it on your SEVIS record and issue you a new I-20 with the new employer’s name on the I-20.
