how many days one can stay legally on F2 receipt without accruing unlawful status

Hi,

My H1B was expired on 10th July’2018 and I applied for F2 on 9thJuly’2018 and I had received receipt from USCIS for F2 application(with date of 9th July’2018.(I am still waiting for my PERM+I-140 to be approved)

My wife also applied for OPT on 8th June’2018 and her course is now finished on 19th Aug’2018.

I have following queries

  1. How many days I can stay on F2 receipt without accruing unlawful presence ?

  2. How many days my wife can stay on F1 OPT receipt without accruing unlawful presence ?
