How long does a passport need to be valid from H1B vis interview date?

Hi all,

My passport is expiring in Sep 2015. I am expecting my visa interview to be scheduled (hopefully if all goes well) in July this year.

Is that ok or could this be a matter of concern? Is there a time duration from the interview date for the passpor to be valid?

That is alright. Your passport should atleast be valid for Year from the date of filing the H1B Visa petition.
