Hi.. My H1B has approved this year . . Can i transfer the visa after stamping to another company ?

Hi… My H1B has approved this year but yet to be stamped . But i cannot travel due to lack of project requirements. Can i transfer the visa (after stamping) to another company considering that i wouldnt have travelled to US ? Also does the profile in new company have to be the same as my current profile?

Yes, another employer can file cap-exempt petition (aka transfer) for you. The company profile doesn’t need to match. However, you should be qualified for the new offered H-1 job position.
