Hi, I just got an update on my underlying application I-539 which was denied saying "case was reopened for reconsideration"

We had filed for I290B to reopen the application of I539 for COS to F1 and after 5 months we got this update on the underlying application of I539 and not in I290B.
What does this mean since there is no update on I290B?
How long will it take to reconsider their decision?

Some of the intermittent statuses can be very misleading or confusing. There is no set timeline for the I290B processing. Wait for the physical copy of the decision or any update…

USCIS accept your application for reconsideration.Its positive sign and most of COS get approved if its not more complicated.
