Hi,I got my H1 until 2014.can i apply for H4 and hold the H1 still?

Hi,

I got my H1 until 2014,but my husband is there in US and i want to go as dependant for some days.

If i apply for H4,hope my H1 will get cancelled ?or is there any possibilty to hold my H1 still?

Do you have H1B Stamping until 2014 in your passport or is your H1B approval notice valid till 2014 ? Have you traveled to US ?
