My OPT expires in January 12, 2013, my husband who is American, will file my adjustment of status application in December 2012, the case will not be decided until after January of 2013 will I be out of status and I do not have an extension on my OPT?
You are doing fine, however you need to be on safer side.
You normally have 60 days time after your opt. Get an i20 from your school for semester starting in march or April.By that time you can manage your status issues from the marriage.
