Has anyone got Interview Waiver (IW) Appointment slots (drop-box)?

My Family members qualify for Interview waiver. Since 25th July, I have been checking daily but all I see is No appointments available for any consular locations. Has anyone able to get an appointment lately?
Any idea when would these appointments be made available ?

You will need to check several times in a day to be able to find a slot.

Thanks for that hint.
So may I assume that slots are being made available by consulate but getting used up by users (quickly).

Since every time I saw no slots are available, I thought consulate is NOT making them available.

When I find slots available, I will quickly notify here and I request other community users to do the same for everyone’s benefit. Thanks in advance.

Hi Kalpesh,

Do you have any info that in a day when these slots are made available, tentative timings in a day if you get to know.

Hey Kalpesh,
Were you able to get a slot?
Thanks

Also, I was checking several times a day and my account got blocked for 72 hours. As of this writing still no appointments available for any consulate. I am still questioning Are they making slots available and they are getting used up OR they are NOT at all making slots available ?

https://visagrader.com/trackers/us-drop-box-visa-appointments this tracker is showing people have been submitting their documents in the last few days. But it doesn’t state whether they selected these appointments dates recently or a while back.

Hi Jai,
Did you find to get slots in recent days and now?

No. I’ve been checking roughly 10 times a day for the last 40 days and got nothing. I check all 5 cities.

Same here, daily 3-5 times check at different times, no slots in any cities.

Someone told their opinion that since Student visas were higher priority and national interest, limited available appointments were dedicated for that category. Since that is over now, we may start seeing some openings. Lets hope for the best.

Same with me as well. do update here if you find anything. I will also post updates immediately when I see anything.

I just got an appointment. I checked at 2:20am on the 5th of September before sleeping. I clicked on the only available appointment as soon as I could so did not get a great look at the page. There were three months showing as it normally does for appointments but only the 10th of September was available. When I clicked on it only one time, 3pm, was available. Like I’ve said I’ve been checking for a month and a half about 10 times a day. The last time I checked was on the 4th of September around 7pm and there was no appointment then. This does tell me that they can become available on weekends and at night so don’t only check during the day. Hope this helps!

I wish I had seen this email sooner. Now at 3:40 AM IST, 5th Sept. no appointments available. Checked all locations. Congratulations on getting one and appreciate you letting us know. This revived the hopes.

Hi,
I have a question, so when I log into cgi ,I see some what looks like dates available but when I select them and pick the time, hit continue
It takes me to a page that says please schedule a visa appointment. I am confused as to why the dates are showing up as available if they are not.
I have been trying for over 2 weeks but no luck. The blocked my account last week

@Greetrafi Welcome to the party. I have been trying seems like for ever now. I have been trying since July and get my account frozen almost once in every 5 days because of multiple times login. When I wrote this to support team asking what is the maximum number of hits one can do so that I can do 1 less than maximum allowed. I got a very generic response and at the end one line saying they may delete the account as well. Very frustrating.

The only way to see if appointments are available is to check multiple times in a day.
They dont tell what is the maximum number of hits/login allowed per day.
When you exceed the maximum allowed, account gets frozen for 72 hours.
and cycle repeats!!!

Does it happen to you too, that you see calender with dates but once u select a date and hit continue
It shows this page

I have got this several times but that is before even seeing calendar dates.

Also just to update this thread, one of my friends got appointment successfully India time 9:35 PM on 9/16/2021. SO that tells me appointments are being made available but it is that we should be lucky to be on the site at right time,

In this thread you can see another user reported that he got slot on a weekend at 2:20 AM India time.

It is going on crazy.

Oh thanks for the update, Hope lives on :crossed_fingers:

You should try now, I just got a date ,though for next year but I was able to finalize it .
