H4 visa holder planning to apply for I485

Hi,

I am a H4 visa holder. My parents are USA citizens and through them I filed for family based green card for married son in october 2013. My application is under process. Now my H4 visa is expiring in november. I am planning to apply I485 petition for status change but my H4 visa is valid till June 2018 and I am in USA now. Please advice me about my further proceedings and time I can stay in USA even after my visa expires
