H4 visa for US born kid with indian passport

Hello All,

Can any of you please share your experience of getting H4 Visa with Indian passport for US born kid. I am curious to know about the procedure of getting H4 visa for US born kid having Indian passport.

The process is same as for any other H4 applicant. However I don’t think US consulate will issue non-immigrant visa to a US citizen by birth unless the US citizenship is renounced by you child when he/she turns 18.
Better approach is to apply for US passport ( & give up Indian passport) and use that for travel. Once your child is adult he/she can renounce US citizenship if they want to.
