can u please tell if a consultant files h1 for me if i am on h4 , then i can get a job?does it sounds practical and is that a good option from saving myself to wait for next year h1 quota?
You will have a job w/ the consulting company that has filed your H-1. They will be your employer and need to pay you irrespective of whether you are a billable employee or not. You may want to find a project/client in order to become a billable employee but that shouldn’t stop them from paying you.
If they don’t pay you, then you start accumulating out-of-status.
