H4 & H4 EAD Process Delay

Hi folks,

I filed the H4 and H4 EAD extension along with H1B extension on January 29, 2021 at Vermont Center. H1 got approved in 5 days. Biometric appointment was completed on May 6th. My EAD’s validity is over and I had to quit the job. They denied my expedite requests. Still waiting for a decision on the processing.

Currently the processing timelines for Vermont center is 12 months - 16 months. What are my options for getting a decision soon… Appreciate any suggestions.

Did you give financial hardship as the expedite reason? One of my friend did and his got approved in 4 days.
