Recently we have submitted our visa documents in Mumbai VAC (dropbox). Today we found principal applicant and spouse’s visa status showing Administrative processing while my son’s (16 yr studying in 11th grade in US) visa status is showing ‘Refused’

Any idea what happened and if the visa status can be changed to approved?

I am in the same boat. My husband got his h1b stamped, but my H4 is under administrative processing since June. I am desperated. When I check ceac website, my status is like your kid “refused” do you have any news?

Thank you!

We received a 221g and visited Mumbai Consulate for a F2F and fingerprint of my son (H4B) . The officer kept the passport with him and confirmed within 10 days we will get back the passport. We were lucky to get it back the stamped passport just after 7 days and onboarded the flight to USA on the same day.
