H4 for husband do we need NOC from current employer

Hello,

My husband is going H4 visa interview. is it really required to take the NOC from his current employer. I want him to be here for about 1 year. Is it really required to have the NOC. if yes what about the format.

NoC is not required. He can just say that he will quit his current job if his visa is approved and move to US as your dependent. He needs to establish that he doesn’t intend to work in the US while on H4 visa.

You need to know that as a H4 he cannot be working and earning any income at all (not even frm India by working remotely in US). I doubt then that any company would let him be off payroll for as long as one year.
