H4 extension status pending - eligible to study MS ?

Hi Guys,

I’m a H4 visa holder and planning to do my MS in CA , waiting for my admission but my current H4 visa extension status is “Case Received” and it will take 2 r 3 months to get an approval. I’m i eligible to do my studies here if i get an admission ? University will accept or agree if i submit my H4 extension receipt notice and my husband I -797 ? Please share your thoughts and suggestions. Really appreciate your help.

University must wait for extension to collect fees from you.

oh… i will not be able to join this fall 2015 :frowning: , then i have to wait for the approval and join next year spring 2016…
