H4 EAD new application pending, Can i apply for extension?

Hi, I have a pending EAD application for the past 3 months (filed in June 2019). Now my spouses is applying for extension of H1B + H4 in premium.

Can i now add an H4 EAD application for extension ? or should i wait till the original application is approved to apply for extension. Given the time it takes for EAD approval, can i just submit an extension application and then later on send the supporting documentation (hoping the original application is approved by that time).

Any suggestion would help.

Yes, you can do that, but it is slightly tricky because the H4 EAD depends on the H4 approval. if your H4 EAD is processed before H4 approval, they will ask for H4 approval and then if you cannot provide, you get that denied…You may submit, but this is slightly tricky with timing.
