H4 EAD Auto extension receipt i797C Before 30-Oct-2025

Hi,

I applied for my spouse H4 EAD extension on 22 Oct 2025 before the auto-extension cancellation(Oct 30, 2025). But the EAD notice of action i797C does not say any extension of 540 days. It also mentioned that this notice is not an Evidence of employment authorization and cannot be used with an expired EAD.

I am confused now as my spouse EAD will expire in April 2026. Can she continue to work using this notice after April 2026 if the EAD is not approved by then.

Please help to clarify.

The message you see there is very generic for everyone and can be misleading. Just go with the actual announcement and news.

For I-9 verification, use the press release copy and receipt date on it, submit it to employer. Just explain them the same, they will get it.
