I am Indian citizen living and working in Canada. I have H4 visa stamped (and valid till 2025). Since my husband works in US on H1B, during my last visit to US I obtained H4 status (valid till 2025) and also applied for H4 EAD based on my husband’s approved I140 and then later left US back to Canada. My EAD application is pending with USCIS while I am in Canada. Now my current employer in Canada is applying for my L1B to USCIS. Will that cancel my H4 EAD application with USCIS (as my employer applied for L1B to USCIS while H4 EAD application is still pending)? In understand that obtaining L1B visa stamp at the embassy and then entry on L1B status will make it invalid. But my question is only about my employer applying to USCIS when I am outside US and me not actually applying at the Embassy.
EAD application may keep processing without any issue.
Yes, if you enter on a status other than H4 and your EAD is processed and adjudicated after you enter.
