H4 Drop Box Info needed

Hello Everyone,

Me (H1) & my husband (h4) got our first stamping in India in the year 2019 and is valid till Feb 2021. Now in the December 2021 my husband traveled to India on an emergency basis. I got my i-140 approved this June & my husband got his EAD on October 12, 2021. I have below questions

  1. Is my husband eligible for dropbox option?
  2. Since he is traveling after our i-140 approved do we still have the option to go for drop box option?
  3. If yes for drop box option - what are the documents he need to submit
  4. If no for drop box option - what are the documents he need to carry

Dropbox or interview, the list is same.

  • Valid Passport
  • Passport photo as per Photo specifications ( digital copy for DS-160)
  • Original Marriage Certificate
  • Original Birth Certificate ( if applicant is child, and under 21 years)
  • Photos of Wedding, Wedding invitation ( if newly married)
  • Appointment Letters – US Visa Interview, Biometrics
  • DS-160 form submission Confirmation letter
  • Primary H1B Holder’s Passport copy
  • Primary H1B holder’s I-797 approval notice from USCIS
  • Pay Stubs or Pay slips of H1B holder ( if already working in US)
  • Employment Verification Letter from H1B holder’s employer
  • (Optional) Visa Fee payment receipt
  • (Optional) H1B Holder’s Tax Returns, if already working in US
  • (Optional) I-94 Arrival / Departure Record Copy of the H1B holder, if already in US
