Hello, i am an OPT. My employer applied for an H1B in April first. So far the lawyer told my employer that from the 30 applied they just have received 11. This means that mine probably got denied (is this true?) my OPT expires June 24 2016 and we still don’t have an answer ( a yes or a no) can someone give some input? Thank you!
Unfortunately, if employer hasn’t received any information about your petition, then there is a good chance that it didn’t make through the lottery. Official rejection notices may still take few weeks to arrive.
Did you check w/ DSO if there is pending cap-gap in your SEVIS record? If not, then it further strengthens the theory that you didn’t get selected.
