H1B Visa Stamping before visiting India

Hi Saurabh,

My H1B Visa got approved yesterday and not yet started working, where as my earlier H4 visa got expired on 30 Sep 2013 and my husband employer filed both his H1 and my H4 extension in the month of July 2013 and we are awaiting for the approval.

I am planning to visit India for 7-10 days in the 2nd week of Nov 2013 due to personal reasons .

  1. Please suggest in my case can I get my visa stamping done in either Mexico or Canada before visiting India.

2.Do we need to cancel my H4 Visa Extension which is still in process ?
