H1B visa stamp-book appointment before DS-160

Hi All,

I need some advice, I plan to book my interview date(by using the DS-160 number that I started) first and then complete the DS-160 and submit online. Has anyone done it this way? or do we HAVE to submit DS-160 first?

You could try doing that…It is technically possible, though many do not try it that way. The guidance from US embassy is that you need to have the DS 160 submitted before you attend the interview. Check DS -160 Guidance
