H1B Visa is in Administrative Processing but confirmed during Interview

I have appeared for H1b visa interview on 6th of March and while interview I was told that my Visa is approved.

After 5 days i have checked that my Visa status is showing Administrative Processing though I was not issued any 221(g) document.

It was my third time extesion . While Interview Visa officer told that their system is showing overstay but i have shown her my previous document which ay during 2010 i got my extension delayed by 35 days and Visa officer agreed that’s it’s not illigal to stay 35 days since i got extension recipt number before the expire of extesion. She also informed that if it would have crossed 180 days then it could be illigal but since it’s 35 days so she is approving my visa .Now it’s crossed a month and I ahve not recived my Visa or passport. I am not able to track anything except ceac site showing my Visa status is in Administrative PRocessing. Can anyone say how long it might take or how to track the current status?Every friday consulate Relase a pdf of administarive case status my case number is also not there in that list.

It can be put in AA b/c of multiple reasons. As they didn’t ask for any documents, it looks like they are doing some admin work at their end. This could be verification of your over stay, verification of the petition etc.

Nothing you can do except to wait.

Thanks for your reply. Will it be any help if I ask my company to follow up on this after 60 days waiting period? I work for Indian MNC.

Usually they are not very transparent with their response and contacting them will not expedite the process.

Still waiting for Visa…My case number is still not in the updated PDFlist relased on 25th April.
