H1B Visa interview without client letter

Hi,

I worked in USA from Mar 2017 to May 2019. In May 2019, My H1B Extension was denied and I came back to India. Now, with the help of a new employer, I got H1B approval till June 2019 and I scheduled my Visa appointment on Jan 9th in Chennai. Mine is EVVC model and the Client is not ready to provide Client letter as I have not joined the project yet. May I know if Client letter is mandatory these days while attending Visa interview? How do I convince the VO if they ask for Client letter? Please advice.

Usually client letter is a more or less a mandatory document, at least to confirm that you have job. Many clients provide those letter, but there are some that do not. If your client is not willing to give that letter, you should carry some sort of proof like email or something, where they tell that they cannot provide client letter…It will help answer the question, if they ask for it.

You need to ask the client for the same. Usually, it could be an email that they tell saying they cannot provide client letter…

Hi Kumar,

I dont have any email communication with the client as the Vendor was dealing with them. Communication happened over phone and I don’t have any email proof. I have the MSA/SOW and Vendor letter though.

Those are good documents to carry…I have seen many get stamping without client letters as well by carrying documents like you mentioned…So, stay positive. See, if you can carry the email or something that tells client is not willing to give the client letter…I mean from the vendor, any kind of documentation to prove that…If nothing, dont worry, give it a shot…stay positive. Do update here after your interview.

Sure Kumar. Thanks for the info…
