Hi,

Today I completed my h1b visa interview, VO asked the following questions:

  1. Why do you want to go US?

  2. Who does your Employer do?

  3. Are you working in US?

  4. How long have you been with your employer?

  5. When do you plan to travel to US?

Then kept my passport and handed over the white pamphlet “Know your rights…”, Does this mean my visa is approved?

My ans: To continue my employment with my company (HP)

  1. Who does your Employer do?

My ans: They provide business and technology solutions to different clients in USA

  1. Are you working in US/India?

My Ans: I’m working in USA

  1. How long have you been with your employer?

My Ans: 2 years

  1. When do you plan to travel to US?

My Ans: End of Sep month

Hi,

I have H1b petition approved and i have to attend the visa interview soon. I am working with different employer in INDIA and my H1b is for different employer in USA. So in this case the two question below belongs to which employer.

  1. Who does your Employer do?

  2. How long have you been with your employer?

Hi,

  1. Who does your Employer do?

I suppose your question is ‘What does your employer do’, if this is a question, tell about your new employer like Technology services (development/testing) to different clients in USA

  1. How long have you been with your employer?
    This question will not be asked by Visa officer, if asked tell him/her that you are going to join that company.

They may add you few more questions like:

  1. How did you find this job offer?
  2. What was the interview process?
  3. Why are you leaving your current job?
  4. Why are you going to join new employer?
