Hello,

My visa got approved on 5th April 2021 and it expires on 31 December 2021. Due to covid19 situation I will not be able to travel before 31-dec-21.

  1. Can I apply for extension without travelling?
  2. if yes, when can I start my extension process?
  3. Do I need to visit embassy for visa stamping or I am eligible for drop box?

Yes you can. You will need to schedule visa appointment based on your new I797 once you have it.

You can start EOS application max 180 days in advance from the expiry of your current I797.

You should be eligible for dropbox.
