H1B visa - duplicate status shown in system

At the end of visa interview visa officer kept my passport, original I-797 and petition copy and said will return same after they verify why it is showing as duplicate in their system. Also he asked me whether anyone used my petition (what it means ??) or did anyone travel using my petition.

VO said they will check with Washington.

I am confused. Will I get the visa or not? What does VO words mean?

Maybe he was getting two records for the petition number and wanted to check that. It may take sometime for them to figure that out. However, if the petition really belongs to you, then it should get approved eventually.
