H1b - Travelling to India

Hi,

     I am on H1b with approved I-140. My wife is on H4 EAD and she is working in US. I am planning to visit India and I have dropbox appointment for visa stamping. My question is - is it okay if my trip is for 5 weeks? will my wife lose her status or ead because of 5 weeks? She will stay in US while I travel to India

This should not be a problem for short time as far as you continue to be on the H1B sponsoring employer’s payroll during your visit to India.
