H1B transfer Process to new employer

Hi

I am currently in process of shifting jobs from a being a consultant to a full time employee. With that being said my new employer has already started my H1B transfer process with LCA being received when can i start working for my new employer (start date is set to May 13th) even if my application is pending with USCIS my current H1 is valid until Dec 2013 . Should i wait for the acceptance notice to arrive before i start with my new employer?

The earliest date to start working for new employer is once your petition has been received by USCIS. You can start working for the new employer anytime after that.

The risk is that in case H-1 transfer is denied, then you will have to go to old employer or have another employer file for H-1 transfer ASAP.
