h1b transfer denied and gone back to previous employer. valid status?

I have a question please answer me for the situation:

I was working in H1b visa with company A. Upon getting receipt notice I start working for company B for 3 month. My H1b transfer got rejected because of client letter. I stop working for B the moment I got this notice from USCIS and join back to company A. Was working for Company A for last 14 month as A did not revoked my petition. A did not transferred my visa to A. I just joined back. Now it is time to extended my h1b with A. My question is there any problem happen in extension? Am I already violated the law or out of status already?

You should be fine as you were always getting paid through A or B.
