Is it true that in case of a H1B transfer, stamping isn’t required and dropbox facility will work instead?
My stamped H1B is valid till 15th Dec 2016 and my current petition with current employer is valid till 30th Jan 2017.
Can someone give me some idea?
You are eligible for dropbox if you appear for stamping anytime until 14 Dec 2017 (12 months from original visa stamp expiration date). After that you have to go for in-person interview.
I thought I will have to appear for stamping in accordance to my new employer as i don’t have any proof to show that i joined my new employer?
They have relaxed the rule for change of employers for dropbox. If you go to ustraveldocs site and look at dropbox requirements, they don’t exclude employer change.
