h1b stamping and amendment

Hi there,

I had hard copy of H1B approval notice (FY 2015-16) and my visa is not stamped yet. My petition is valid from 1st October 2015 and getting expired on 31st December 2017.I have to file amendment for client change(employer is same). Is there any time limit for stamping and amendment? Or I can go for stamping anytime before my petition expires?

You can appear for stamping anytime during the petition validity period. So the amendment can be applied and once approved, you can appear for stamping. Your employer also has the option to ask for petition extension when filing the amendment so that new petition extends beyond Dec 2017.
