My second 3 years of H1B (with the same employer) was approved by USCIS in March 2008. The employer filed for Chapter 11 in 2009 and almost all employees were laid off and I was one of them. I left the USA in July 2009 and came back to the USA a few months ago on Oct 2019 on an F2 visa with my wife (F1).
I am getting job offers now and would like to know if I can recapture the 20 months left in my second H1B? How can that work with my new employer as a transfer?
